On February 4, 2014 Os Guinness joined Trinity Forum at South Carolina ETV in Columbia, SC for an Evening Conversation with Trinity Forum Founder Os Guinness! Guinness will discuss "The Global Public Square: Religious Freedom and the Making of a World Safe for Diversity."
How do we live with our deepest differences? In a world torn by religious conflict, the threats to human dignity are terrifyingly real. Is there any hope for living together peacefully? Os Guinness argues that the way forward for the world lies in promoting freedom of religion and belief for people of all faiths. He sets out a vision of a civil and cosmopolitan global public square, and how it can be established by championing the freedom of the soul—the inviolable freedom of thought, conscience and religion.
Guinness is an author, social critic, and founding Senior Fellow of the Trinity Forum. He has written or edited more than 25 books, including The American Hour, Time for Truth, The Call, Invitation to the Classics, Long Journey Home, The Case for Civility, A Free People's Suicide, and most recently, The Global Public Square. Dr. Guinness's focus is on making academic concerns accessible to lay audiences, especially in the field of public policy.
