Sympathy for the Devil

A sneak preview of the video launching my Kickstarter campaign, which will begin in coming days after final approval from Kickstarter, to fund the production and release of my book "Sympathy for the Devil: A Journalists Memoir from Inside Pol Pot's Cambodia" and make available for the historical record hundreds of hours of related, unredacted archive videos, interviews, and transcripts. In order to succeed, the Kickstarter campaign requires that the full funding target goal must be raised within a 14 day period or the project will not be supported. Please excuse, in advance, the insufferable self promotion seeking funding support. Believe me, it mortifies me more than it will annoy you. The details of what it will cost to bring these projects to fruition will be laid out in the Kickstarter campaign. Any thoughts, criticisms, or comments are welcome here, or by email at thayernate0007@gmail.com, or through my blog site at natethayer.wordpress.com. If anyone is inclined to support the project before the official launch, please go to my blog site natethayer.wordpress.com, where there are buttons to push to donate.Stay tuned...

    Pol Pot,

Pol Pot a man who hated by so many Khmer had devoted his life for Cambodia in the other word Pol Pot led the Khmer Rouge movement against yuon solders both before and after 1975/

For instance Pol Pot refused to give Koh Tral to yuon .

Pol Pot led the Khmer Rouge movement tilled 1991 Paris Peace Agreement.

Pol Pol had a strong policy against yuon Vient Minh.

Pol Pol had a strong policy against yuon Vient Minh.

Pol Pot had a strong policy against Indochina Federation.

We ( every Khmer has every rights to hate Pol Pot but we must not refuse the truth because the truth play an important role in real Khmer history.

    1. I could not add anything else to what you just said. Pol pot at the end of the day is a hero and gorilla at the same time. However, there were some people above him in a hierarchy during the pol pot regime itself. Therefore, we, khmer people, have to protect whatever that belong to us for the sake of our future generations to come.

Hun Sen/Youn used Pol Pot to make Cambodia what it is today. Hun Sen/ Youn are the third party behind the killing of 1.7 million Khmer people. In fact Hun Sen/Youn did all the killing and put the blaming on Pol Pot because Pol Pot was the leader at that time. Hun Sen/Youn continue to hide the fact from Khmer people but the truth will reveal itself sooner or later.

The question Khmer people need to ask themselves is if Pol Pot liked his country so much why would he killed his own people? The answer is he did not kill Khmer people. All Khmer know that Pol Pot hated Youn. Youn/Hun Sen saw the opportunity to get rid of Khmer people because Pol Pot would be the responsible party and that is fact. I have always consider Pol Pot a hero.

Hun Sen recently used the same statement which he had warned the protestors about the third party. He with the help from Youn are the third party that Killed Khmers during Pol Pot regime.

Traditionally evil Yuon employ a "third hand " clandestinly to take over Champa, and now Cambodia.
Pol Pot was not clever nor powerful enough to smell and destroy Yuon's tricks.

One thing can be said about Pol Pot, unlike Norodom Sihanouk. he put his country' s interests first.
