Why did the gvomit blink today? Significant first step today in reclaiming right to peaceful assembly...

Seen and heard on Ms. Theary C. Seng's Facebook accounts:

ABC Radio Australia (English) interview just now on the 10th anniversary of Chea Vichea's death... "Today, the govt relented and blinked, but I'm not naive to think that we do not have a long road ahead of us in reclaiming our basic right to peaceful assembly..."

ABC Radio Australia: Why did you think the authority allowed the march today after the crackdown/arrests of yesterday?

Theary: Hard to say, but a factor is Chea Mony; it had already killed his brother, would be hard to kill another brother; also he has substantial backing from garment workers, a political force. Another factor may be the fact that I hold a US passport, that I am of dual nationality, and that I am a lawyer who has been challenging the ban on legal grounds... But who knows, really..."

What I didn't add was that I had many stand-offs with this bloody regime's security forces and they know I will not back down, as I do choose my battle. Interestingly, one of them was also in January (2008) with Mia Farrow, at Tuol Sleng, near where Free Trade Union office is.

The govt mouthpiece has been only naming Chea Mony in its condemnation for breaking law of assembly ban when I am as "guilty" as we both are responsible for organizing this morning's peaceful march.
