Cambodia opposition appeals to king as tensions rise

“The Cambodia government is going after the opposition with hooks and
tongs in a way that we haven’t seen since the dispute over the 2013
election results,” said Phil Robertson, Asia deputy director for Human
Rights Watch, the US-based campaign group. “The ruling party is
apparently reverting to past electoral tactics of intimidation and
violence that made opposition politics a life-threatening endeavour.”
