Thank you, dear readers, for regularly visiting Truth2Power Media ("T2P"), the successor to KI Media ("KIM") that my father Heng Soy founded. Despite Ms. Jemima's ill-intent to destroy KI Media by attempting to sideline Khmer Democrat and to start a similarly named site, all is well. The narrow-mindedness has led to the creation of this T2P and to more news sources. The more, the better, no matter the ill intention!
I'm delighted to see the high figure of almost 6 million views of my posts on T2P. I do not know the post views of my other T2P teammates; but no matter, the figure reflects your interest and thus is of great encouragement.
When
my father Heng Soy founded and operated KI Media, KIM was its own
force; KIM stood alone in its influence and confluence--for almost 8
years!--before Facebook had any noticeable impact in the Kingdoom. But
as I've stated at the inception of this T2P, there's still great
relevance for a blogsite of this nature, such as T2P, to act as the
bridge between lightning-speed Facebook and time-restraint traditional
media.
We at T2P would like to be the blogsite for the Thinking Khmer and others interested in Cambodia affairs. We are not primarily concerned about numbers; we are more interested in attracting certain quality of individuals--Khmers and non-Khmers alike--who are thoughtful and open not only to receiving quick-paced, up-to-date, aggregated news on Cambodia but also the mature analysis and more holistic materials in contextualizing us Khmers within the larger family of humanity and of history and modernity. We are also aware of and welcome the Kingdoom's anachronistic apparatchiks and Cold War Big Brothers (probably some Big Sisters ,too).
This requires discretion and maturity -- and a wicked combination of intelligence and humor -- in the tradition of the original Heng Soy (and Sacrava!).
We aim; it is you the readers who will be our judge whether we have succeeded beyond these four-plus months of T2P operation.
