Political negotiations between the ruling party and opposition have not continued, following their failure to reach an agreement ahead of the Khmer New Year earlier this month.

Prime Minister Hun Sen is currently on state visits to eastern Europe, and Sam Rainsy, president of the Cambodia National Rescue Party, is in western Europe.

The two are not scheduled to meet while abroad, but officials say more talks could be held later this month, as the political stalemate between the two sides continues.
