Cambodia Town Culture Festival Takes Over Long Beach's MacArthur Park

Sixth District Councilman Dee Andrews and Cambodia Town, Inc. will host the Eighth Annual Cambodia Town Culture Festival taking place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on April 10 at MacArthur Park, 1321 E. Anaheim St.

The event will celebrate the traditions of Cambodia and ring in the Cambodia New Year, which is the year of the monkey.

The festival will have a variety of hands-on demonstrations of art forms from Cambodia’s culture. Cambodian artisans and culture bearers will share their expertise through interactive demonstrations.

Among the art and cultural exhibits, guests also will be able to partake in Cambodian classical dance and costuming, drawing, shadow puppets, music, musical instruments, textiles, dressmaking, weddings, gardening and cooking.

This year’s festival venue will follow the ending of the Long Beach Cambodian New Year Parade on Anaheim Street.
