Vietnamization -- 6-lane highway under construction, cutting across protected mangrove forests from Kampot to Ha Tien (Vietnam) via Kep

Seen and heard on Ms. Theary C. Seng's Facebook accounts:

There is a 6-lane highway being constructed to connect Kampot (possibly Sihanoukville) to Ha Tien (in Vietnam) through the cape resort of Kep. An attempt to repeat history when Vietnam once control this part of Cambodia, another puppet with a new name. In Kep, the 6-lane highway runs alongside the sea, over miles of once protected mangrove swamps, destroying the ecology of this once pristine, charming resort oasis, will destroy at least one of the 11 villages my NGO Center for Social Development used to work in for 3 years, the fishing village of Ang Kaol.
Village in Kep most likely will be destroyed for new 6-lane highway to Ha Tien (Vietnam)
