Cambodia senator on trial for 'inciting chaos' on Facebook

Government says a posting he made was treasonous, but Human Rights Watch has said Hong Sok Hour is wrongfully charged, victim of a crackdown on political opposition.

A protester with portraits of Hong Sok Hour. A Cambodian court rejected the opposition senator's request for bail Friday, and opened a trial against him on charges that carry penalties of up to 17 years in prison for comments he posted on Facebook.
