HA NOI (VNS) — Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong urged Viet Nam and Cambodia's defence ministries to strengthen their co-operation at a reception on Saturday for Cambodian Deputy Prime Minister and Defence Minister Tea Banh

The Party leader hailed the outcomes of talks between Deputy Prime Minister and Defence Minister Tea Banh and the Vietnamese Defence Minister, and requested the two defence ministries to carry out signed agreements in an effective manner.

He also expressed pleasure at the development of the relationship between the two countries, and reiterated Viet Nam's policy of giving top priority to developing good neighbourly ties with Cambodia.

Deputy PM Tea Bank congratulated Viet Nam on achievements in the past years, and took the occasion to express profound gratitude for the support that the Vietnamese Party, State and People's Army have given Cambodia.

Earlier on Saturday, Vietnamese Defence Minister General Phung Quang Thanh and his Cambodian counterpart signed a bilateral co-operation plan for 2016 after talks in Ha Noi.

Both sides agreed to focus on all-level delegation exchanges – especially among young officers, deputy ministerial-level defence policy dialogue, personnel training, and joint sea patrols.

They will step up the repatriation of the remains of Vietnamese soldiers who laid down their lives in Cambodia in wartime, while enhancing co-ordination to protect the shared borderline of peace, friendship, stability and development.

During talks, the two ministers underlined defence as one of the important pillars in Viet Nam-Cambodia relations.

Defence Minister Thanh thanked the Cambodian government, people and royal army for their support to the Vietnamese army and people in the cause of national liberation and defence.

He also thanked the Cambodian side for creating favourable conditions for Viet Nam to repatriate remains of Vietnamese soldiers in Cambodia.

He confirmed that the Vietnamese army and people will strengthen solidarity and provide assistance for Cambodia in nation building and defence.

For his part, Minister Tea Banh thanked the Vietnamese army and people for helping Cambodia escape from the genocidal Pol Pot regime as well as assisting the Royal Cambodian Army in personnel training.

He said the Cambodian army and people vow to preserve, nurture and develop friendship with their Vietnamese counterparts. — VNS

The evil Vietnam has found a solid faithful Dog Hun Sen and his clan to serve its purpose of swallowing Cambodia.
This Dog Hun Sen will do whatever his master told him to.
For example before killing Khmer people on Veng Sreng Blvd, he went to Vietnam, spoke Vietnamese to his masters to show that he has never forgotten them.
