'Hey, I recognise that place!' Major Tim Peake posts brilliant photos of the UK and London at night from the International Space Station 

These stunning pictures show the UK and London from an angle only few privileged people have seen it in person. The images, taken by British astronaut Tim Peake, inset, aboard the International Space Station, show Britain on the left with France and the rest of Europe on the right. The brightest light in France shows Paris and its suburbs while London is clearly visible on the left.
