To Dad
To this strong man, it's been 212 days that you are in jail so I am not
wishing you a happy birthday today, I am sorry for it.
Sixty one years
ago, you were born in Kampong Thom province, and sixty one years before you
didn't know how the great man you will be today, in my eyes, in your family's
eyes and in nation's eyes.
We are not all
together for this special day, which is yours, but still, you are in my heart
and I don't need a special day for thinking of you.
Since I saw you
in handcuffs handles escorted by officers of Special Forces, I cried, and I
cried, my tears were burning my cheeks, my heart was beating so hard, it wasn't
sadness, it was and it is anger.
Keep your head
up, keep this resilience, I know how strong you are, I am so proud to be your
daughter.
