I would like to pay my respect to the memory of Mr Kem Ley who was assassinated today in Phnom Penh.

Mr Kem Ley was a dignified son of Cambodia who actively participated in the fight for democracy and justice for the Khmer people. He was a highly educated man with noticeable political gift and potential. Because he apparently represented a political danger for the other side, the latter hired a hitman to assassinate him as they had, in a recent past, hired hitmen to assassinate Chea Vichea and Chhut Wuthy, two other dignified sons of Cambodia who were at the forefront of the battle to defend the Khmer people’s interests, just as Kem Ley was.

In line with the 30 March 1997 grenade attack in Phnom Penh and many subsequent and successive assassinations in broad daylight of other government critics, today’s assassination of Mr Kem Ley is another act of state terrorism.

If we can term this as political fighting match like boxing---well, the purpose of a fight is to disable your opponent, right? Well, democracy is like that. Yeah, the underdogs can whine about the brutalities they received from their opponents because they only use soft punches while the one in position to be beaten to submission uses killing punches against them. UN [Global Witness] are cheerleaders calling foul play and unjust moves on the behalf of the underdogs who are being taken out one by one. Fair game! it's about keeping the winning streak until defeated at some point in the latter fights.

    Human Rights can be deadly!!!

  3. Khmer can live or must die under Hun Sen's so-called "Peace and Stability" rhetoric?

I think wisdom is mightier than protests and revolutions in the name of Democracy. Khmer can be bold and dare to die but wisdom is mightier then weapons of war. If Khmer people trust the UN to come to their aid - they are dead wrong again and again. You think the Paris Peace Accord has any validity to the stability of Cambodia? not a chance because the UN doesn't give a hoot. They can pay lip service but in reality UN is not about lifting people out of poverty but to make all people equal...equally poor that is, and those at the top of the UN pyramid reign supreme over all people groups.

    YOU are dead wrong!

The Khmer people CANNOT solve the Yuon-created Khmer problems without
the help of and from the signatories of the Paris Peace Accords.

Don't try to divert the attention and efforts of the Khmer people from the correct
    path.
