Cambodia calls for enhancement of commerce ties with Iran

TEHRAN- Cambodian Minister of Commerce Pan Posak [Sorasak] in his Wednesday meeting with Iranian Commercial Attaché in Vietnam and Accredited to Cambodia Mohsen Rezaeipour, on the sidelines of an exhibition in Cambodia, voiced his country’s readiness for development of trade bonds with the Islamic Republic of Iran, IRNA reported.

Voicing the Cambodian government’s tendency to facilitate Iranian companies’ presence in the Southeast Asian country, Posak referred to his visit to Iran in 2006 underscoring that Cambodia is in need for oil, gas, and petrochemical products, which can be supplied by Iran. 

Rezaeipour, for his part, noted that Iran can help Cambodia with providing engineering and technical services as well as oil, gas, and petrochemicals while caoutchouc, wood, pepper, and rice stand among the products that can be supplied by Cambodia for Iran. 

Rezaeipour also met the President of the Cambodian Chamber of Commerce Neak Oknha Kith Meng, where the two officials explored avenues of boosting bilateral commerce ties.

    It is alarming to see Cambodia aligning with states against USA. First with China, then Iran.
