In the interview clip, at 2:25 Australia ABC TV interviewer asked, "who will be the successor?" Scam Rainsy refused to answer directly, "I fully my successor."
Note: He did not answer "Kem Sokha."
At 2:35 the interview asked a more specific question, "And do you who that will be [the successor}?" Against Scam Rainsy tried to deflate Kem Sokha by mentioning the steering council and now the leadership is being steered by Kem Sokha and the council.
Like I said, Kem Sokha would have Scam Rainsy kicked to the curb after Scam Rainsy claimed that only he can rescue Cambodia [not Kem Sokha].
Scam Rainsy, you did not treat Kem Sokha as equal, so you got toppled for your transgression! and 2:40
Scam Rainsy claimed he saved CNRP by resigning but he was the ones who made blatant and banal accusations against Mr. Hun Sen, got sued, got convicted. How can he saved the party whilst he committed stupid mistakes which threaten to bring CNRP down.
Scam Rainsy rejected the notion that Vietnam save Cambodia in 1979. His logic was:
Vietnam caused Khmer Rouge to come to power in 1975, therefore Vietnam did not save Cambodia in 1979. What a pathetic logic.
There are two separate acts here:
1. Vietnam did save Cambodia in 1979.
2. Who caused the Khmer Rouge to come to power is debatable:
_ Some Khmer claimed Nixxon/Kissinger illegal bombing of Cambodia caused people to join Khmer Rouge in droves. _ Some others blamed the late King Sihanouk called people to join KHmer Rouges (to fight Lon Nol) was the real cause. _ And of course, many Khmers would blame Vietnam for creating Khmer Rouge.
Note: Vietnam create Cambodian Communists but Pol Pot changed it into Khmer Rouge. Cambodian Communists would include all ethics living in Cambodia where as Khmer Rouge only include Khmer or Chinese Khmer mix.
