Empire World City set for Cambodia

Empire World City is a mix-use development developed by Virtue Resources. It land size for this development is approximately 50 hectares in Bavet city, Cambodia.

With a total investment of $200 million, the project consists of a casino, hotel & resort, online casino hub and a commercial neighborhood mall. Additional features include a Water Show Arena.

“We going to kick start this project by starting the leverage work and we estimate by end of this year we can start the construction,” said Mr Eric [Chew?] the CEO of Empire World.

Group CEO Mr. Chew said: “We are doing this mega project because we saw the potential of economic growth in Cambodia for the next 10 years.”

Empire World city is located in Bavet city, Cambodia which 15km away from the Vietnam border at Moc Bai.

“We believe that the Empire World city will boost up the local economy by attract neighbouring Vietnamese into the city,” said Mr Eric.

Two memorandum of agreements were signed on April 13 in Sokha Hotel, Phnom Penh.


The first MOA was between Virtue Resources and 3Ti Progetti Asia Ltd. – an architect’s firm.
 
The second MOA was between the landlord of the 50-hectare land and Virtue Resources.

Around 400 participants were invited from Vietnam, China, Malaysia, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Indonesia to witness the singing ceremony.

“We hope Empire World City could provide more working opportunities for locals,” said Mr. Chew.

The mega project able will create at least 3,000 local jobs.

Virtue Resources is also working with Carton Hotel, a container styled hotel & resort.

“I am glad that Virtue Resources has given us an opportunity to come in Cambodia as the first container style hotel & resort. We are very confident that our presence in Empire World City will add more value to the project,” said Mr. Paul, CEO of Carton Hotel.

On April 14, a ground breaking ceremony was held in Bavet city.
