[Vietnamization: Elections, PRK, Military] Hun Sen address Vietnamese congress of military, political officials in Vietnamese


In 1979, Vietnam made him the youngest Foreign Minister in its puppet regime in Phnom Penh, given perceived intimacy with Vietnamese military and political superstars, with daily briefings every morning with Vietnamese ambassador for instructions from Hanoi. 

In Jan. 1985, Vietnam replaced Chan Sy (murdered the month before for refusing to implement the K5 genocide) with him as prime minister.

In 2016, HS is still singing the CPP Hallelujah Chorus in Vietnamese to a congress of high ranking military and political officers in Vietnam (video).

    Mr. Hun Sen is smart. He speaks Vietnamese to ingratiate with his saviors and protectors.

    Sometime I surprised the Hispanic people by speaking Spanish. It's a great way to make friends. Imagine I suddenly speak Khmer to you folks, you folks would like me a lot more right? Know this, I used to work in a labor team with 3 Cambodians so I did learn a little bit Khmer.
