CNRP wanted to have money to spend on sex trips in Bangkok or skiing on Swizz Alps or boating in Australia. CNRP also want to spend money on fancy SUV Lexus, not factories or plantations for the poors.
That's why CNRP and Mr. Hun Sen constantly had conflicts. The poors finally figured out who's good, who's bad, they supported Mr. Hun Sen.
Hun Sen really needs money now because his accounts have been frozen by the USA so he'll sue anyone for to make some bucks.
