This is when the government security forces killed 4-5 garment workers during demonstration on Veng Sreng Blvd. on 3-4 Jan 2014. This is a video clip secretly filmed with eyewitness running commentary of cruelty of a group of security forces seeking out in private residences and viciously kicking and beating with batons and "rock to the head" of these garment workers.
The Veng Sreng bloodletting that effectively ended the Cambodia Spring of 19 July 2013—when Sam Rainsy returned to hundreds of thousands (millions?) greeting him on the streets—to middle December 2013 when Hun Sen at his lowest point was summoned to Vietnam. He came back with the Veng Sreng solution, immediately followed by the Vietnamese premier’s visit to see a job well done at Veng Sreng shortly after later that January.

I will dispute the above claim. There were reports that snipers were hiding on rooftops and shot the demonstrators to blame on the government. Further more, there was no evidence that the victims died from the bullets from the government troops.

If the victims were treated at neutral hospitals, they might find bullets from sniper riffles not the stubby bullets used by the government troops.

The logic was simple: The government did not want anyone dead such that they would get blame. The opposition wanted a lot of deaths then blame the government.
