Tart-tongued couple may be Vietnam bound
CEN / Phnom Penh Post | 1 March 2016
A domestic violence case last week in Siem Reap took a few twists and turns before winding up as a likely deportation.
A house party had devolved into a spousal abuse situation on
Wednesday when police showed up and attempted to intervene on the wife’s
behalf.
To their surprise, both the husband and wife turned to them and began showering them with verbal abuse.
Both were hauled into the police station where, under questioning, it
was determined they were actually Vietnamese nationals living here
illegally.
They’re now at the Siem Reap immigration department awaiting a ruling.
