Seen and heard on Ms. Theary C. Seng's Facebook accounts:
Hundreds
of armed forces standing in formation on the Neak Bridge, with as many
Cambodians on the other side watching them across the street. I decided
to go and have a chat with the forces who have been overworked the past
several months, particularly the past couple of days. I stayed behind
the barricade with them for about 5 minutes, and didn't persist pushing
my case for staying behind the barricade, but nonetheless stayed nearby to talk
with them some more... Basically, I asked them: Why are you so afraid of the
people, the poor, the elderly, the monks, the children--your own
brothers, sisters and patents? Do you not see that your mentality is the
same as the Khmer Rouge? It lasted at least half hour...
Then, what were their responses, if any ?
ReplyDeleteDid they spit on you or give you a kiss? Please, give us more detail, both sides of the story.
