Hun Sen's euology for Say Phouthong / សាយ ភូថង

 
Q: Who was SAY Phouthong who a few days ago passed away peacefully at the ripe age of 96 in a Thai hospital? 

A: Hun Sen's mentor in treason and treachery. Accompanied by a battalion of Vietnamese soldiers, he and Hun Sen were the only 2 Khmer officials of the PRPK* who went to arrest Prime Minister Pen Sovan at his residence in Phnom Penh.

* "Cambodia was to be nominally ruled by the People's Revolutionary Party of Kampuchea, which was hastily organized while the Vietnamese army was marching into Phnom Penh."

Excerpt from memoir of Pen Sovann, 1st prime minister propped up by Vietnam, in chapter entitled Opposition to "K-5" Plan:

On 20 November 1981, I recommended to the Political Bureau of Central Committee of the People's Revolutionary Party of Kampuchea to establish immigration law re illegal Vietnamese flowing into Cambodia. At that moment, 2 members of this Political Bureau--Hun Sen and Say Phouthong--fought this proposal to est immigration law re the flow of Vietnamese coming to settle in Cambodia since 1979.

...including 4 members of Vietnamese military K10 and A21, standing surrounding me, each holding weapon in each hand. At this time Comrade Say Phouthong exclaimed: "You, Bong, are a traitor." When I heard this charge of treason, the military standing nearby snatched the telephone from my hand, pounding it boom-boom! on the table. And the military shouted "You sit down and shut up." .. At this time Comrade Hun Sen pulled out a piece of paper from his pocket and read the following written content:
