Myanmar military chief to visit Cambodia on ties
PHNOM PENH, June 9 (Xinhua) -- Senior General Min Aung
Hlaing, Commander-in-Chief of the Myanmar Defense Services, will pay a
four-day visit to Cambodia on Wednesday to bolster bilateral ties and
cooperation.
According to a schedule released by the Cambodian army on Monday,
Min Aung Hlaing will fly to Cambodia by a special civil aircraft on
Wednesday.
Besides, he will visit the National Defense University before
touring tourism sites including the Royal Palace in Phnom Penh and the
Angkor Wat Temple, a world heritage site in northwestern Siem Reap
province.
Min Aung Hlaing succeeded retired Senior General Than Shwe as Commander-in-Chief of the Myanmar Defense Services in March 2011.
