Patriotic... or just plain tacky? Pictures of some of the thousands of houses across England that are draped in the St George's Cross for the World Cup
Tomorrow, the wait will finally be over. After four years of
hype, gossip and anticipation, England are back in a major football
tournament, and the ritual of fans up and down the country is already in
full swing. Families from coast to coast are embracing the patriotic
fervor - by draping their houses in the St George's Cross. But even when
the streets are lined with red and white, it seems England fans
struggle to get to excited about their side's prospects. According to a
survey, Three Lions supporters are the most miserable fans in the world.
