Soccer
star Mia Hamm is considered one of the best soccer players in history
having scored 158 international goals during her career – more than any
other player, male or female, until Abby Wambach broke her record last
year. Over the duration of her professional soccer career, Hamm won two
World Cup titles, two Olympic gold
medals, and was inducted into the National Soccer Hall of Fame. In 2004,
she was one of only two women and two Americans named to the FIFA 100, a
list of the 125 greatest living soccer players selected by soccer
legend Pelé.
