កិច្ចប្រជុំ ជាមួយ ប្រជាពលរដ្ឋ នៅឃុំ ត្រពាំងជង, ស្រុក បាកាន, ខេត្ត ពោធិ៍សាត់៖ «បើ ខ្មែរ បែកបាក់ កាប់សម្លាប់គ្នា, នោះ ខ្មែរ នឹងបាត់បង់ ទឹកដី, ខ្មែរ នឹងស្លាប់។  តែ បើ ខ្មែរ រួបរួមគ្នា, ខ្មែរ នឹងរុងរឿង, ថ្កុំថ្កើង...។»

"We must achieve national unity in order to preserve Cambodia's very existence. Over the last centuries, Cambodians used to fight against each other in order for a group to conquer power over another group. But whichever group won, Cambodia as a whole did lose because the winner used to call on a neighboring country for help to achieve victory over the rival group. In exchange for its intervention the foreign country, whether on the East or on the West, annexed one or several Cambodian provinces. Cambodia ended up getting smaller and smaller and, in the future, may completely disappear if we continue to fight each other as if we were enemies. Only national unity can save our country and turn it into a great nation."
