Cambodia is a battleground for the control of information both in the streets and on the internet. Increasingly, the reality and response of people impacted by issues such as land grabbing, poor wages and the overall suppression of free speech and assembly are documented on mobile phones and posted online.
This documentary examines the evolution of dissent in Cambodia and the efforts to control the growth of cyber-democracy by an entrenched and corrupt government. A draft Cyber Crime law leaked to the press and posted on the internet threatens to silence cyber discourse and dissent that are at the heart of the democracy movement.
