Li Keqiang Meets with Prime Minister Hun Sen of Cambodia

On the afternoon of March 23, 2016, Premier Li Keqiang met in Sanya with Prime Minister Hun Sen of Cambodia who was in China to attend the 1st Lancang-Mekong Cooperation Leaders' Meeting and the Boao Forum for Asia Annual Conference 2016.

Li Keqiang said China and Cambodia are good friends with mutual trust. Both countries enjoy a sound development momentum in bilateral relations, high-level political mutual trust, close economic cooperation and mutual support on issues related to each other's major concerns. It is hoped that the two sides can continuously maintain high-level exchanges, and deepen practical cooperation in all areas to push the China-Cambodia comprehensive strategic cooperation for more outcomes. 
Li Keqiang pointed out that the two countries should accelerate the docking of development strategies, promote cooperation in production capacity and investment, and strengthen collaboration in such areas as economy, trade, agricultural products processing, infrastructure construction as well as cultural relics protection, so that the two peoples will benefit more from the China-Cambodia cooperation. The Chinese government will continuously support and help Cambodia's economic and social development, and encourage Chinese companies to increase investment in Cambodia.
Hun Sen expressed congratulations on the complete success of the 1st Lancang-Mekong Cooperation Leaders' Meeting, and said that Cambodia supports to build Lancang-Mekong countries into a community of common destiny. The Cambodian side is satisfied with the development of the bilateral relations, appreciates China’s support and assistance to Cambodia and welcomes Chinese enterprises to increase investment in Cambodia's infrastructure construction, agriculture and other fields.
