[Vietnamization] Cambodia Angkor Air now serves second city in Vietnam

Vietnamization: Airlines, Airspace
...

Cambodia Angkor Air introduced its first service to Da Nang in Vietnam on 1 July. The thrice-weekly turboprop service will compete with Vietnam Airlines’ four times weekly jet service.

Cambodia Angkor Air now serves second city in Vietnam

Cambodia Angkor Air chose 1 July as the launch date for its new service linking Siem Reap (REP) and Da Nang (DAD) in Vietnam. The 554-kilometre route will be flown thrice-weekly (Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays) using the carrier’s ATR 72 fleet. Competition comes from Vietnam Airlines [sic! VA is parent company of CAA] which serves the route four times weekly [it's a way to break up the math so as not to be obvious in saying it's flying 7 TIMES a week!] using much larger A321s. Da Nang becomes Cambodia Angkor Air’s second destination in Vietnam as it already serves Ho Chi Minh City from Phnom Penh (17 times weekly), Siem Reap (15 times weekly) and Sihanoukville (five times weekly). Da Nang becomes the airline’s seventh destination outside of Cambodia after Bangkok, Chengdu, Guangzhou, Hangzhou, Ho Chi Minh City and Shanghai Pudong.
