Government Asks Canada to Restart Aid Programs

Government Asks Canada to Restart Aid Programs

Cambodia Daily | 3 September 2016

The Foreign Affairs Ministry used a meeting with top Canadian diplomats on Friday to request that the country resume aid to Cambodia, four years after Ottawa’s last development programs ended.

Canada reopened a tiny Phnom Penh diplomatic office in December, after closing its embassy in 2009, saying at the time that it hoped to strengthen trade and diplomatic relations with Cambodia.

Sam Rainsy, are you going to ask Canada, "No aid to Cambodia, no aid to the Beast regime."

I dare you to do this. You have been shown to be willing to inflict economic harm against the poor garment workers. Let see if you want to inflict harm against an entire nation.

I say, "Let's have as much aid to Cambodia as possible. Overtime, when the people are less deprived, a lot of problems will naturally disappear."

But I know Sam Rainsy want Mr. Hun Sen to look bad. So Sam Rainsy will want problem to persist in Cambodia then he would blame Mr. Hun Sen for it. I really feel sorry for Mr. Hun Sen.
