The modernist home that lured a buyer from one of Cambodia’s ruling families

Months of high-end house hunting has finally been brought to an end for one of Cambodia’s ruling families.

Having checked out some of the best on offer on the Vaucluse waterfront and up the hill, Madina Phara, wife of Mongkol Phara, has ended up crossing the harbour to buy the modernist Clontarf trophy Portovenere.

Settlement records reveal an $11 million sale price for the home of the late arts patron and Transfield co-founder Franco Belgiorno-Nettis and his wife Amina, who died last year.
