A Mighty Fortress (arr. Johann Kim) sung by Cambodian Hosanna Choir & Ensemble
The year 2017 is especially celebrated by the reformed church,for her
birth year is exactly 500 years ago when Martin Luther hung 95 Theses at
the door of Aller Heiligen Kirche in Wittenberg. As Cambodia Hosanna
Choir and Ensemble were invited to perform a special program for a
Christian conference in Phnom Penh, they praised God with this historic
piece (melody composed by M. Luther, harmonized by J. S. Bach, Coda
including inversion of the melody added by Johann Kim) for the first
time with almost full instrumentation including Timpani.
2017년은 종교개혁 500주년으로 특히 개신교에서는 중요하게 기념하는 해이다. 500년전 10월 31일 마틴 루터는 95개조항을 Wittenberg 의 교회 문에 붙여 종교개혁의 포문을 열었다. 캄보디아 호산나 합창단과 앙상블이 기독교모임에 특별찬양으로 초대되었을 때 처음으로 팀파니를 포함한 악기로 이 역사적인 곡(마틴 루터의 선율과 바하의 화성, 그리고 부족한 나의 코다가 어울어진 곡, 이 코다에는 선율의 inversion 이 들어있다.)을 연주하며 하나님을 찬양하였다.
