About Kem Sokha's arrest
BASELESS ACCUSATIONS AGAINST KEM SOKHA

Having known Mr Kem Sokha and followed his political activities for 25 years, I am able to say that the use by the authorities of his declarations made to a group of CNRP sympathizers in Australia in November 2013 is a gross attempt to decapitate the opposition less than a year before legislative elections scheduled for July 2018.

I am able to reject the senseless accusation of “treachery and collusion with a foreign country to cause trouble and overthrow the government” made by the authorities against Mr Kem Sokha, having been president of the CNRP since its creation in April 2013 until my resignation in February 2017. I bear witness that, under my leadership, the CNRP neither envisaged nor engaged in any activity that could justify the accusation.

Is it “treachery” to want a democratic change for one’s country, and to work peacefully to achieve it, following the example of the fall of the Berlin Wall in 1989, and the collapse of numerous dictatorships in the 1990s and the 2000s?

Is it “collusion with foreign countries” to seek solidarity with those around the world who share the universal values of democracy and human rights?

Was it also “treachery and foreign collusion” when I received at my home in Phnom Penh in December 2014 the grandson of Mahatma Gandhi, Mr. Rajmohan Gandhi, as well as the Indian ambassador to Cambodia, Mr Dinesh Patnaik, to seek advice on Gandhi’s methods for non-violent conflict resolution?

Was it also “treachery and foreign collusion” when the CNRP organised at its offices in Phnom Penh in 2013-2014 training courses on non-violent methods and passive resistance led by an Indian expert and NGO worker named Raju Bhagwat?

Hun Sen is a sub-human, he's a real animal. He can say and do whatever he wants. He can accuse pretty much anyone of treason at any time he wants. The court is in his hands, the military is in his hand and the king is in his hands. What can anyone do? The international community, the UN, US, European unions? All they have done is providing lip service to Hun Sen. They have been feeding this dictator for years so thanks to them, the donor nations, Hun Sen and his families are now super rich.

This beast must be stopped. Otherwise, Cambodia will continue to live under dictatorship and suffer for years to come. Enough is enough, khmers, you must rise up as a country to stop this beast if you want to have real democracy for Cambodia. Staying quiet clearly is not the solution.

LOL you accused Hunsen as this and that but then you pointed out he managed to do what he want and the whole international community is providing lip service to him. He's quite skillful isn't it?

And what are you going to do now but blabbing about rising up yet dare not to do anything?

Wrong, the youtube post by the government was captured in 2014 and clearly Kem Sokha said he was working with USA to topple the dictatorship government in Cambodia. Have you watched the video, the evidence from the government's Youtube channel?

Hun Sen is very paranoid these days. Anything people say can be accused of treason. Try to say that his wife is fat and ugly, he will certainly accuse you of destabilizing the country, create chaos in society and trying to topple the government. This man is an animal. He can only understand violence. Khmers must rise up to attack him and his family in any way they can. If Sam Rainsy is smart, he should write about and expose Hun Sen's massive wealth and how to stole it from the nation. That would hurt him greatly because thieves are very afraid when you call them thieves. One thing he scares the most is when you can expose his and his family's wealth and tell Cambodians how to robs from his people. Do a short documentary about this and i guarantee you Hun Sen will be on his knees.
