Sayon Syprasoeuth is a visual artist who fled Cambodia with his family and moved to Long Beach after living in the refugee camps of Thailand. His work mainly consists of figurative sculptures, and he was one of the artists who painted a large mural in Cambodiatown at Anaheim Street and Dawson Avenue. (Jessica Q. Chen / Los Angeles Times)
