Thank you so much to all of you who were and
are with us in spirit, if not presence, and also who helped to monitor
the situation of the march this morning. All these factors ultimately
made the authority blinked in light of the unconstitutional
ban of no more than 9 people... As of last night, the caretaker govt
was publicly firm in threatening to crackdown if we go ahead. But at
the 11th hour this morning, they relented and communicated to us that we
could go ahead with march as planned.
Today is an important first step in reclaiming our basic constitutional right to assembly, but we are not naive... We have a long road ahead, but we are buoyed and encouraged.
Once again, THANK YOU.
