Bank of China expands in Cambodia

State-owned Bank of China, a leading commercial bank in the
world, has opened its second sub-branch in the Cambodian capital of
Phnom Penh, further expanding its presence in the country. Li Zhigong,
political councilor of the Chinese Embassy of Cambodia said, the opening
of second sub-branch of the Bank of China Phnom Penh underlines the
confidence of Chinese investors in Cambodia's banking and economic
stabilities. National Bank of Cambodia deputy governor Ouk Maly
supported Li's statement by saying the sub-branch clearly showed the
Bank of China's commitment to further expand in his country. The bank
first opened its branch in Cambodia in May 2011.
