Aung San Suu Kyi’s victory sets democracy example to neighbours

[Our Dear Leader is a sensitive soul. Be gentle with him. He's comfortable in the dark but quite afraid of the light.

May I suggest a prescription of 2-hr spa at Bodia, a glass or two of Chateau Margaux (but unlike his younger relations, sans Coca-Cola), and rest of 9-10 hr sleep for the next 2 decades?

May I also recommend that we stay away using designation or its obverse for him such as "autocrat", "dictator", "authoritarian", "fascist", "Khmer Rouge", "traitor", "puppet", "lackey"; and, "wind of freedom", "change", etc. ?

But okay: "strongman", "despicable", "creep", "cruel", "violent", "treacherous", "traitor" (but only if you say with a genuine smile and with great concern for him), "thug", "despot" (yes, it means the same as dictator and autocrat but if you pronounce it the way the French do, then it's charming)...

The action brings to an abrupt halt the detente between government and opposition agreed when Mr Sam Rainsy’s Cambodia National Rescue party last year ceased anti-government protests and a boycott of parliament that it had launched in protest at alleged ballot-rigging in 2013 elections. The opposition leader has vowed to return to the country, although it remains unclear when — or if — that will happen.
