What
an incredible reaction to my photo of former President Bush and First Lady Michelle Obama whom I caught in a warm and touching moment at the
African American Museum dedication. My eldest son Byron Kennerly
suggested I show some other pictures of bi-partisian friendship. One
that he mentioned was a quiet conversation between Senators John Kerry
and John McCain in 1997. Both were Vietnam vets, one a Democrat, the
other a Republican. Although political adversaries, they were friends
first and foremost.
